{"id":30,"date":"2018-04-03T16:08:34","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T15:08:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pinehurstcarehome.co.uk\/site\/?page_id=30"},"modified":"2024-07-01T09:26:38","modified_gmt":"2024-07-01T08:26:38","slug":"faqs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.pinehurstcarehome.co.uk\/site\/faqs\/","title":{"rendered":"Faqs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>What do the fees include?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Residential care fees vary according the size and amenities of one\u2019s bedroom and the level of care needed.\u00a0 They include accommodation, personal care, all meals, laundry and the provided activities and outings. \u00a0(There are extra charges for hairdressing, chiropody, newspapers and private phone lines).<\/p>\n<p>Weekly fees are discussed and agreed with the Registered Manager when a resident is assessed before coming to stay with us.<\/p>\n<p>For respite care fees are similarly discussed and agreed once we have assessed the needs of the person coming to us for care.<\/p>\n<p>Our Registered Manager is always happy to explain our fees and advise on funding care costs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you charge \u2018top up fees\u2019?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When a resident\u2019s care is funded by a Local Authority, there is sometimes a shortfall in the weekly amount that the Local Authority will pay. \u00a0In this case, the resident or their family usually pays a \u2018top up fee\u2019 for residential care at Pinehurst.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is \u2018personal care\u2019?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is assistance from carers with things that people may find difficult \u2013 such as walking, managing stairs, dressing, washing, having a bath or shower, personal hygiene, eating.\u00a0 Some residents require greater levels of personal care than others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you offer dementia care?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, our staff are trained and experienced in caring for people who have forms of dementia, including Alzheimer\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can a resident bring possessions from home?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, we recommend that people bring some smaller personal items to make their bedroom feel familiar and homely.\u00a0 However, any furnishings or electrical items have to conform to fire\/safety regulations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you cater for special diets?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, in most cases our cooks can provide meals tailored to special requirements. \u00a0For example \u2013 diabetic, vegetarian, soft or pureed food.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What do the fees include?
